Memorial for the fallen of 9/11
Please join us at Nathan Phillips Square (City Hall) on Sunday September 11th, 2011 between 9:45 – 10:45 AM for an outdoor Memorial Tribute to honour those emergency services personnel who fell in the line of duty in New York City, on 9/11.
- Kevin Frankish (City TV) – Master of Ceremonies
- March-past (Queen St.) by Toronto Police, Fire & EMS Honour Guard Units
- Special tributes by; Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair, Toronto Fire Chief Bill Stewart, & Toronto EMS Chief Bruce Farr
- Firing of “21-Gun Salute” (Police)
- Ringing of “Last Alarm” bell (Fire)
- Amazing Grace, played by the Toronto Police & Toronto Fire Pipe Bands
- Special 9/11 Video tribute played on a jumbo outdoor screen
For 1-hour immediately proceeding and 1-hour following the Memorial, food & drink service and live entertainment by 2-time Juno Award winning blues band FATHEAD will take place in the Square
